Welcome to Bacolod City.
In the 80’s, the idea of the Masskara festival came about to somehow alleviate the recession in Negros. Through it all, a smile is constant. Whatever the condition, a happy mask is put on, contrived by the Art Association of Bacolod then.
Thankfully now, times have changed, the city is booming and bustling. And the art scene now just about punctuates the blast. Art is now more than ever, alive in Negros. With the artistic passion of the people, works none other than that of the best Filipino artists reach the land.
Charlie’s Art Gallery invites you this Masskara to feast on the works of renowned Filipino artists in its special art show “The Fiesta Collection 2013”, featuring works of well-known celebrated artists Onib Olmedo, Angelito Antonio, Justin Nuyda, Angel Cacnio, Michael Cacnio, Caloy Gabuco and Jun Martinez. The works of Vic Bachoco, Jimbo Velasquez and Epifanio Atencia are also a fitting and lively addition to the exhibit. Lastly, the show would not be complete without the art of renowned Negrense artists Nunelucio Alvarado and Rafael “Paeng” Paderna.
