Charlie’s Art Gallery in cooperation with Galleria Duemila proudly present Oriental Icons, a solo show by Ramon Diaz. The exhibition chronicles the artist’s penchant for orientalism, commune with nature, and mythological enchantment. Diaz will present his four longstanding Oriental leitmotifs: The Sumo, Nishikigoi fish, Tang dynasty horse and Chinese ceramic. The show will feature arresting multimedia works, which showcase Diaz’s vigor in portraiture, expressionist-like renderings, and depiction of motion.

Educated in the Philippines, Germany, Belgium, England, and the Netherlands, his many travels have influenced the shape and landscape of his paintings. An accomplished artist, he has been exhibited in Novotel Paris, Lumen Gallery, NY; Anagama Gallerie, Versailles, France; Steuben Glass Museum, USA.

The exhibition will run from November 15-December 15, 2014 in Charlie’s Art Gallery located at Italia Restaurant 1 Ranol Building, 23rd San Agustin Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
