It’s not only food that is tasteful in Negros. With the booming sugar industry in the island, the art scene in Negros has gone a notch higher. Italia Restaurant and gallery, a quaint little corner in Bacolod now hosts a special art show this month. The rustic walls boast of the masterful works of artists in the likes of H.R. Ocampo, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Prudencio Lamarroza, Ibarra de la Rosa, Jeff Dizon, Nunelucio Alvarado, Romulo Olazo and Anthony Fermin. An introductory to the terracotta art of Susanito Sarnate is also part of this month’s events.
